On 30 June 2026, Gül Üret chaired the session ‘The Social Lives of Migrant Dead Bodies: Traces, Narratives, and Policies’  at the IMISCOE – International Migration Research Network Annual Conference between June 28th and July 2nd 2026 in Girona, Spain. Anja Simonsen and Félicien de Heusch participated and shared their research.
