Srila Roy

Srila Roy is Professor of Sociology at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. She has a Masters in Philosophy and Social Theory and PHD in sociology, both from the University of Warwick. Her long-standing research and teaching interests is in the field of transnational feminist and sexuality studies. Her latest book is titled Dissonant Intimacies: Feminist Reflections on Southern Decoloniality (Wits University Press/NYU Press, 2026).
